Once its cool blend it in a blender adding the oats. Stain the soup and let it simmer on medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Add salt and pepper to your taste.

Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper. This recipe for Russian beetroot soup or borshch is made with beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onion, and beets.
