This is the best french toast recipe I've ever tried. The only change I made was to use Pepperidge Farm's French Toast Bread. This bread is thick and very dense. During the cooking time the bread rises with a slightly crispy outside.

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have classic french toast using 6 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Classic French Toast:
  1. Prepare 2 slices bread
  2. Prepare 2 eggs
  3. Get Cinammon
  4. Make ready Vegetable oil
  5. Take Salt
  6. Prepare Milk

Then pan-fried to golden perfection for a great breakfast idea. This classic French Toast is a delicious and easy recipe to make with only a few ingredients. Immediately remove to serving plate; keep warm. The batter for French toast is basically an egg custard.

Instructions to make Classic French Toast:
  1. Whisk your eggs in a bowl..add in a little bit of salt and some milk to have just the right consistency..not toothick or too thin
  2. Mix everything together including the cinammon for that amazing fragrance.
  3. Soak your slices of bread in the mixture…don't soak for too long..the slices will break.
  4. Heat pan and add vegetable oil.
  5. Transfer your soaked bread slices in the heated pan.
  6. Cook for about 3minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. I served mine with a side of scrambled eggs. You can use the remaining mixture to make more French toasts.
  8. Enjoy!!
