Come Christmas you will have a very very rich fruit cake. Use royal icing to ice it or almond paste and royal icing, I don't like almond paste!

  6. Put all the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and fold well.
  7. Add ur coated soak fruit and fold
  8. Grease ur pan with butter and sprinkle flour in it.
  9. Rich fruit cake is ready

A rich fruit cake does take a while to cook as it needs to be baked at a fairly low temperature. Sometimes they have a tendency to become a little dry around the edges and overcooked before the centre is ready. A year or so ago I found a tip to prevent this by adding a cake belt around the tin and it worked a treat.
